Nutrition is the intake of food, considered in relation to the body’s dietary needs. Good nutrition - an adequate, well balanced diet combined with regular physical activity - is a cornerstone of good health. Poor nutrition can lead to reduced immunity, increased susceptibility to disease, impaired physical and mental development, and reduced productivity.
Dietitians are the only nutrition professionals to be regulated by law in the UK and they assess, diagnose and treat dietary and nutritional problems at an individual and wider public-health level.
Our dietitian uses the most up-to-date scientific research on food, health and disease and translates it into practical guidance to enable you to make appropriate lifestyle and food choices. She also understands that nutritional advice is often not enough to ensure you reach your goals so, by assessing your personal situation in detail and using her skills in counselling, she will give you the support needed to change your eating habits for good.
